Katelynn + Kyle- Wedding in the Gardens of WhiteGate Inn & Cottage

Another gorgeous wedding at the historic WhiteGate Inn & Cottage in Asheville, NC. Only this time it was outside in the beautiful and lush gardens. The setting just HAD to be amazing to match the beauty of this couple! Katelynn and Kyle were beaming with excitement to get married and finally have the wedding day they have been waiting for. Like so many COVID couples this year, it may not have been their exact plan, but when it’s time, it’s time! So here they were, joining their lives together forever. They had a letter box that they sealed a letter in to be opened on their one year anniversary, and then so on for every anniversary after. I have always loved that tradition.

It was truly a magical day and I was so honored to be there to share in it as their wedding photographer. No matter how many weddings I photograph I will never stop loving them! It’s such a beautiful moment, and I hope that my photographs help bring these precious memories back to you both for decades to come. Best wishes for a long, and joy filled life together. May you always find partnership and compassion in your days with each other, and plenty of laughter and love too. And never stop taking pictures Kyle! I loved that you had your instant camera there also, to snap a few pics to enjoy instantly.

Roan Mountain Wedding- Annamarie + Jeff

This had to be one of the most beautiful days ever! Roan Mountain is always pretty but today it was majestic. When Annamarie and Jeff told me they were going to do their wedding up there I was thrilled. After a hike up that was a little longer then 5 minutes (ha ha, you had to be there to get it) we reached the top of the bald and found the perfect spot. Jeff and Annamarie, like so many other couples this year, postponed their big wedding plans until next year, but didn’t want to postpone being married. So here we gathered, at the top of the mountain surrounded by trees, sky, and views of blue mountains in the distance.

It was a beautiful moment when Annamarie crested the hill and came into view, arm and arm with her parents, making her way to her husband to be, Jeff. They held hands, and the anticipation and love shining between them was palpable. Along with my two stationary cameras, Jeff had a Facebook live going to connect people who couldn’t make it to the ceremony but still wanted to be present. SO amazing! If you were one of those people watching please leave a comment and share your experience. I would love to hear what it was like to experience being on the mountain with us from wherever you were around the US. They read their own vows to each other, which is always such a beautiful and meaningful touch to a ceremony, and then at last they were united together forever. “This is the marriage of equals”

We all made our way down the mountain, snapping pics and shooting video along the way. And it only got a little chilly at the end. Most beautiful day ever! I am so honored that you both would choose me as your videographer to be a part of this incredible day. I hope these memories will instantly transport you back to the top of this mountain, holding each other, and feeling that elated sense of unity and love. I wish you decades of joyous moments together, loving compassion for each other, and prosperity in whatever you set your hearts to.

T + R Tie The Knot at WhiteGate Inn & Cottage-- Asheville, NC Wedding

Whether the guest list is 200 or 2, a wedding is still, at its core, about love and commitment. The two most important people are there, standing before each other and pledging to join their lives together forever. And that’s why I love weddings so much, because I just LOVE love!!!

It was wonderful to see this amazing couple say their vows and the love that was shining in their eyes when they looked at each other. Another little wedding day sprinkle came and went during the ceremony and then we were outside to complete our couple’s portraits. Everything was green and lush as we strolled around the gardens snapping pics along the way. T’s dress was GORGEOUS!! I’m a huge fan of wedding dresses of all kinds, but the billowy, cupcake, princess ones have a special place in my heart.

Inside for cake and our day came to a sweet end; with the bride and groom sharing in their first task together and cutting the cake. WhiteGate’s Inn’s chef is so talented and makes an amazing cake! Congratulations to you both, and I wish you so much joy and love throughout your many years.

Spring into Love - Kristine and James Engagement

Spring brings beautiful blooms, sunshine, and creates the perfect setting for the celebration of love!  Kristine and James joined me and Myriah Wood, now working together as Falcon and Wolf Weddings for combined Photo and Video Wedding Bookings, for a fun and intimate session amidst the greenery and flowers.

In an engagement session, I always try and capture a couples personality as well as show off the best of themselves.  So they can look back and say "Remember when...".  I always start by asking couples to show me their Cuddle Culture.  Every couple has one.  It's your basic "go to" for holding each other, snuggling, nuzzling, or even fun playful rough housing.  Whatever it is for each couple, that's what I want to see and capture, then we go from there.  If a couple is silly, then we are cute and playful, and if a couple is more serious and quiet, then I allow room for that to happen naturally.  Basically, anything that is true to them during their Engagement Photo Shoot, goes.

Kristine and James were super sweet together, and you didn't have to tell James twice to wrap his arms around her. He couldn't get enough and their love truly radiated.  I can't wait to see them on their wedding day!
